2) You're so tired from being up all night, you offer your dog a Capri Sun...and wonder why she's shying away from the straw.
3) You've had a Code White. {Think baby powder and a silent, missing toddler.}
5) You're shaving your legs and a little hand thrusts a banana into the shower. "Peel it, mama!"
6) You feel like a runway model...when your nails are done.
7) You actually look forward to going to the dentist, because it's the only Mommy Time you get.
8) You DREAM of the day you'll FINALLY get sleep, then cry when you think of them being grown and gone.
9) You have a whole new respect for your own mother.
10) You consider it a vacation if you get to go to the grocery store alone.
11) You open your car door and a magnadoodle falls out.
12) Your son colors all over the walls...But, instead of getting mad, you stop and admire how high he managed to reach.
13) You're confused...You could've SWORN you just vacuumed out the car yesterday...
14) You take off your shirt and fruit loops are attached to your collarbone. How is this possible?? Where is the dignity?!
15) You've been put on Bathroom Blast: Going to the bathroom in a public place, or at someone's house, when The Kid decides it's a good time to open the door and put you on display.
16) You're so tired from being up all night, you microwave grapes.
Gee...Motherhood sounds cringe-worthy and sad. Right?
But wait - the fascinating thing about this {real life} list, is that Motherhood is the most rewarding blessing of all! I wouldn't change anything about it.
Well, maybe #15. ;)
What about you? Do you have any reasons to add to my list?

Wouldn't change a thing about it.

This really cracks me up only because I texted my BFF Sat and said "Nerd Alert: heading to the craft store to wander around. Can't WAIT". I guess that means I'm a mom. :)
Number 9 hit home Meredith. I love and respect my mum in a whole new way right now.
I loved the list and like you I wouldn't give motherhood up for NOTHING!
Have a super blessed day!

oh yes! I once went to Walmart on an early morning, husband and both girls were sick and throwing up...I was very pregnant with our third...shopping list: gatorade, 7up, saltines. I was in line and realized I had vomit on my clothes/pj/scrubs from the children's sheets...the lady behind me said: "aww...you have that beautiful pregnant glow"...only at Walmart :)
that was a cute post! Did you have to vacuum powder off of the dog? That was the dog wasn't it? I have to say, I do NOT miss those days. And they're cute for years and years. Until those teenage years. When they morph into some strange alien race.
This is great...so many have happened to me. It's the hardest job you can ever be privileged to have. Those little moments that ouch your heart and priceless. I really enjoyed this!

I am laughing right now - I remember so much of this when my children were younger. Have an awesome time at motherhood. They grow up so quickly.

Thank YOU for finding me!! I can relive young motherhood through your blog. Um...You forgot escaping to the bathroom when the kids are in bed and floating a plastic bowl of M&M's (which you keep HIDDEN in the bathroom, by the way) in the water while you soak away the tension of the day.
I am your newest follower and you are already on my sidebar! What fun I am going to have with YOU!!!! xo Diana
well, ya know, maybe the dog would have liked capri sun. :)

Very sweet. My girls are teens now, and the time has flown. I remember those days though like they were yesterday. I try to enjoy every day now, because my youngest will graduate from high school next year.
yep...and so funny about the dentist! I remember that 30 minutes of no kids like it was a luxury vacation.
Oh my, all so very true!! Motherhood, crazy, hard, fun and very worth it. Great post!
Motherhood is wonderful. I'm really enjoying the second part of being a grandma. I know it's a good day when someone says they can't believe I have grandchildren! That's a really good day for me! :) Your little ones are sooo precious.
Hahaha Meredith! I soooo remember those days!! You're so right...I wouldn't have changed it for anything...priceless memories! Looking forward to grandkids...I can always give THEM back, lol! Thanks so much for dropping by and linking up! Have a blessed week lady!
