I thought I'd start the week off with an encouraging testimony on behalf of my sister, Allison. Couldn't we all use a positive word today? Here's her story about how she was blessed with a free third-row vehicle (which is featured in the photos below)! My older sis is my best friend. She quit her job as a teacher to raise her two small children. She's sacrificed much for her family. Oh, and she's a coupon-clipping, good-deal-finding, Lord-loving Mama Bear. For some time now, she's been driving a van that is nice, but highly unreliable under the hood. Despite all the money they spent trying to bandaid the problems, squealing sounds persisted, the windows stopped rolling down, etc. You get the idea.
Then, late last week, the van's transmission went out and the van could no longer be driven. Desperately needing a safe ride, Al's faith was pressed. Financing a van or SUV wasn't an option, and her family needed (specifically) a third-row vehicle ASAP.
Together, Al and I kept believing that God would answer this prayer by moving someone to give them a free car. Yes, FOR FREE. Then, on Friday, Al and her husband got a call from a family member. The person on the other end of the phone said, "We want to give you our 2002 Odyssey." I saw it this weekend. It drives wonderfully. It has a lot of amenities on the inside as well. The interior sparkles. It even smells good. :)I'm SOOOOOOO excited for Al and her family. They've sowed seeds into God's kingdom even in the hard times, and I believe they reaped a harvest! God is so faithful to hear our prayers, and He doesn't deliver a minute overdue.
The story doesn't end there!Although her van's transmission went out, Al asked a neighboring family if they wanted to have it (for free), as they have four young kids. Al didn't know that they also needed something because their clutch was going out on their car. That family didn't know what they were going to do.
Turns out one of THEIR family members owns a car shop, thus they would be able to fix the transmission at no cost. What an answer to prayer for that family, too! See the ripple effect?
Thought For the Day: Let us be blessed so that we can be a blessing to others.
