How Sesame Street Is Using Hair To Promote Self-Esteem

Bald, braided, afro-chic, curly, straight, long or short. Hair (or a lack thereof) is beautiful. One dad gets it. That dad just happens to be the head writer for Sesame Street.

We women have a long-standing love/hate relationship with our hair. I'd venture to say that most of us consider our hair to play an important role in how we feel about ourselves.

Unfortuantely, sometimes it takes a sassy puppet to remind us that we can choose to love our locks no matter what.

Share this. Pass on the message to woman AND MEN that our hair does not make us beautiful. We are beautiful regardless of our hair style.

Thought For the Day: Beauty is diverse. It is not one mold that we should all strive to emulate. How insipid and boring our world would be if we all looked alike?
